A coastal retreat, built over 22 years.
Sapphirebeachsuites began in 2004 as a single villa on a sheltered bay, expanding only when we were confident we could grow without losing what made it worth the journey. 22 years on, we maintain 180 rooms and suites, four kitchens and two gaming rooms, and we still decline more enquiries than we accept.
For us, luxury is not marble and gold leaf. It is the second coffee you never had to request, the driver who recalls your name, the table kept an hour past closing because the conversation was not finished. We recruit for that instinct and we retain the people who possess it.
Most of our guests return, and that is the entire strategy. We would rather 68 percent of a smaller circle come back every year than pursue a larger one that never does.
